Bought 2 of these beds in the middle of Dec., nice size and cushion for my German Shepard and Shepard mix. Consider though you will have to replace the cover as when the dogs scratch to 'fluff it up' before laying down they scratch out pieces of fur covering and it comes out in little tufts. There are not any 'holes' yet (2 weeks later) nor have I washed them to see how they hold up but my guess is they will wear out sooner than some with a more durable cover. However, I do still feel it was worth it for the cushion inside since I did purchase when on sale and given the price of other ortho beds.
