The set is lovely in the photograph, but somewhat disappointing in person. The fabric is VERY noisy and reminds me of a cross between heavy parachute cloth and taffeta, with a finish that has the look of materials that are water-proofed. The colors are soft and soothing, but nothing I tried (and I tried a lot of things) would get out all the wrinkles caused from the set being packaged. I will probably need to send it to the dry cleaners to be steamed to see if that will work. The fabric of the bed skirt is also very slick and slippery, so the skirt slides out of place quite often. We have a King size bed, and I think the plaid would work better on a twin, full, or queen--that's a LOT of plaid for a larger bed.
The price was very reasonable for all the pieces included, but I would definitely hesitate to recommend the set to others. Had I the budget for it, I would buy another set to replace it, but sadly I don't.
04/19/2013A Beautiful Comforter
It's not exactly want I wanted, but I do like it. I love Plaid which I why I chose this one over several others. It is a lot warmer than I thought it would be so I will have to get a cooler one for summer. I'm hoping I can get a light quilt made with coordinating colors so I don't have to redecorate twice a year. The top is a little "rain-coat" loud but it doesn't wake me up if my spouse gets in or out of bed. The inside is very soft and cozy but not irritatingly fuzzy. The shams are fully lined with a sateen type material, very nice. I got the King set so the shams are also King, and are VERY long and VERY wide. So, I'm going to have to buy bigger pillows. Not a big deal really, just a pain. I have a higher bed and the bed skirt still reaches all the way to the floor which is good.
All in all a purchase I would make again.
Very nice quality comforter set..no complaints. Blue color leans slightly to green verses gray. Would suggest you wait to receive comforter set before picking paint color.
This is very beautiful and I love it very much!
